Tom Swift and His Motor-Cycle
Apr. 1st, 2008 09:00 pmor Fun and Adventures on the Road by Victor Appleton copyright 1910.
I just finished reading the very first Tom Swift book. Adventures include on the fly repairs of a butter churn, a mechanical lawn mower, a donkey drawn wagon brake, a donkey powered sawmill, and of course a motor-cycle using barbed wire fencing.
Tom saves his father's (Barton Swift - and to think I live on Barton street!) patent model of a turbine engine from thieves. But wait! The bad guys are not captured! Tune in to the next book, Tom Swift and His Motor Boat!
I can hardly wait until it comes out.
