Solar Car Race
Aug. 20th, 2012 12:12 pmThis year's solar car race, the American Solar Challenge, went from Rochester, New York to St. Paul, Minnesota. Along the route, there were a series of pit stops, or more precisely, checkpoints and stage points. The Engineering Campus at Western Michigan University was one such checkpoint. Since I live near to Kalamazoo, I stopped by on July 17 to watch the proceedings. I took several photographs a few of which I will share with you.

( More pictures and stuff beyond the cut )
It was a hot day, close to 100 degrees F, but it was worth the heat and besides, one booth was handing out free cookies!
